Yarn For Sale! Part 1

Note: Yarn Sale posts will pop up now & then,
but I assure you this blog is not turning into a yarn shop!

The time has come for me to part with some yarn from my stash.  I have more yarn than I can shake two pointy sticks at & it's time to let some go.  I need to make more room in my home & less room in my wallet. *wink wink*  (I am aware that some large online yarn companies may be selling some of this yarn cheaper. I am not a large online yarn company & am not trying to compete with them.)

Today's lot is delicious Malabrigo, a family owned yarn company in Uruguay.  This super soft yarn needs little to no introduction, as most knitters are quite familiar with it. However, if you have any questions or would like project suggestions... please email me & ask.  See bottom for shipping/payment details.

All yarn comes to you as it is photographed, never wound, never used.  All of my yarn lives in a smoke free home. It is stored in plastic bins.  There is a cat who lives here, but he doesn't hang out in the yarn bins. He only lazes around on top of the yarn that is being knit... sometimes WHILE it's being knit.

Thanks for looking! There will be more yarn coming soon. & please do pass this post onto your knitterly friends!

I'll be at The House of Mouse...

& I don't mean Disneyland.

Yours Truly is the Current Featured Artist

I am super excited to announce that you will now be able to shop for PuNk rAwK pUrL goods at the super awesome Modern Mouse.  "Who is this Mouse?"- I can hear you asking. Well, I am glad that you asked. Modern Mouse is a staff of super sweet folks who love the crafty/DIY lifestyle.  Go check out their website. Read the Artists Profiles, they are super fun.  And if you live in the Bay Area... get your hot-pants on down there toot-suite & check them out!

From their site:
Modern Mouse offers a fun, stylish and creative collection of high-quality, modern handmade goods made by independent artists and small manufacturers across the USA. We’re drawn to simple items that make us smile and find it pleasing to sprinkle beautiful handmade objects amongst a sea of mass produced.
We delight in the special, unique nature of handcrafted objects and are inspired by the idea of them being produced one at a time in the tiny studios of individual artists (or more often than not, at dining tables or small desks) in homes perhaps just miles from our own.
Visit our brick-and-mortar store to see work from over 130 talented artists, or shop a hand-picked, limited selection of our items in our new online store (to-be). You’ll find home & living accessories, fashion accessories, apparel and special occasion gifts…something for just about everyone!
Just a Few of the Items headed to MM

And if you don't live around here, don't worry your pretty little heads... I will be stocking up the PuNk rAwK pUrL Etsy shop soon.  & yes, there will be robots!

Love of Lists

30DAYSButton
I am super excited to be participating in the upcoming 30 Days Of Lists Challenge.  Making ONE list a day... hardly a challenge. I typically make about 6 lists before I even get out of my jammies in the morning.  (okay. okay.  So I am recently unemployed & spend an embarrassing amount of time working at home in said jammies.  Point being, that I am constantly making lists!)

When I first heard about this, the following list of thoughts ran through my mind:
  • Awesomesauce! I love lists!
  • List making... uhhhh, that's how I roll!
  • A list-a-day challenge: Heck Yeah, this is for me!
  • Waaait a minute. Hey brain, slow your roll... I wonder what the rules are.
All of the info that I needed to make the choice to participate was in this beautiful tidbit found at the bottom of the  the announcement post:
There's no wrong way to do this and if you don't like a prompt on a certain day, just change it. Tweak it. Make it your own.
I am still not sure which notebook or journal I am going to use for this project, or how I will decorate it. I am pretty sure that I am going to post 7 days worth of lists once a week... but who knows, I may change my mind.  The beauty of this project is the freedom to make it up as I go.

So what about YOU? Are you a list maker?
If you are, & if you choose to come along on this fun challenge, I'll be looking forward to loving your lists!

Photo Post

These Photos were taken last year around this time and are some of the very first images I took with that crazy popular app for the iPhone, Hipstamatic. I am not a photographer, nor do I claim to be one. The plain & simple truth is that the iPhone camera is pretty darned good, & there are tons of great photography apps for it.  These have inspired me to explore different subject matter and overall just have more fun with the process of taking photos.

Last Year I began two different 365 projects on Flickr. The first one was a Hipstamtic 365, that I have to admit fell by the wayside mid December.  I do hope to pick it up again soon.  How do you pick up with an abandoned 365 project? You can see my more of my Hipstamatic photos here
